Mission Statement

To provide people the ability to learn about and purchase items that leave a smaller ecological footprint behind and to support mindful living in order to bring us back to the moment.

Who we are

We want to give support to the growing organic cotton industry and to other businesses that practice sustainability and environmental consciousness.  All of our clothing, bedding, mattresses, and bath items are made from organic cotton (with the exception of a few 100% organic hemp options).  We also make sure that all of the products we sell do not involve any sort of sweatshop labor practices.

We are always looking for new products to carry
that will encourage and support a more ecologically friendly lifestyle.
We are members of the Sustainable Business Council, the Jeanette
Rankin Peace Center, and the Organic Consumers Association.

Our decision to go into business in September of 2006
was based on social responsibility rather than
financial gain.  We understand that the earth struggles
from our consumptive habits and we want to take the
responsibility to do something about it.  And while we no longer
have our brick and mortar store in downtown Missoula, Montana
we are continuing with online sales and other local event opportunities,
such as the people’s market which runs from May to October.

In addition to our online catalog we feel strongly that education is key
to sustainable and mindful consumption and so we also publish a
quarterly newsletter and host free film showings in town
in order to inform people about products and issues that concern us all.

Earth Folk’s office paper products all come from Treecycle, based in
Montana, and are made from 100% post consumer waste.  We also
recycle everything possible and offer free local delivery of products,
 with bicycle power when possible.

Sustainable living is more than an idea – it’s a way of living!
